I began Boot Camp at Whigham Elementary with my right foot in a cast. As I progressed through the weeks, I got stronger and stronger. I could keep up with most of the other campers! About the same time I had the cast off my foot, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
This testimonial is not about how many inches, or how much weight I lost because that was not my intent. This is a testimonial to the importance of staying in shape no matter your age. I found myself in the hospital after surgery and I was expected to sit on the toilet (and get up) without the use of my arms. As I lowered myself onto the toilet seat, I suddenly realized that it was a piece of cake! All those squats I was forced to do during boot camp, really came into practice!
The nurses were amazed at the rapid rise off of the toilet seat, as well as, my ability to move my arms in most directions immediately after surgery! I attest this flexibiltiy and strength to our wonderful coaches at Tone You Up!
Beyond the physical strength I acquired, I also realized that Cheryl and Yvette are emotionally supportive for each boot camper they enlist. They made me feel like I am a part of their own family. I plan on continuing my boot camp journey throughout the summer and into next year!
Thank you!

Attached is a picture of me in a pair of shorts that used to be tight on me.
Thanks to you and the boot camp last year that got the ball rolling.
I feel great and I am on my way back to my old self!!!
Thank you so much for scaring the living shit out of me!!! J

I signed up for Bikini Boot Camp May 1, 2008. My goal was to get into a size 10. At first I did not enjoy the running portion, in fact I couldn't breathe most of the time! But Cheryl insisted that the best way to lose that belly fat was to run. So I started to just grin and bear it. I even did 2- 5K's and I never would've dreamed of doing that before Boot Camp. Guess what- it worked. I've given away all of my size 14's, size 12's and now size 10's are getting a little loose. My goal for this years BBC is to be a size 8! With the push from Cheryl and the other trainers you can do it too! I now LOVE working out without the confinement of walls (gym). Being outside with the elements, getting dirty, breathing clean air is so much fun and even my kids love being there with me. Thank you for showing me new ways to get fit and healthy!
" You are an amazing woman. I am very lucky to have you. I know that doing something like this has taken a lot of your personal time and effort. Having you to push me through has taken away a lot of my stress. Seeing you have such a hard drive in life has inspired me."

"Thank You so much for coming into my life. It's always been a struggle for me to think healthy. I feel different and I eat differently too. You are hands down the best trainer I ever had. May you be blessed with happiness and love. God Bless you!"

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how much I really thank you and appreciate you for your words of encouragement, your support and most of all your friendship. In this short period of time of knowing you it's like we've known each other for a long time. Also, for you, Courtney and Yvette thank you for pushing me to do the exercises right and telling that I can do it. I have always had a battle with my weight ever since my mid and late teens. You have made it worth coming to class everyday . All three of you trainers are doing such a wonderful job. My clothes do fit better and I was able to get into a pair of jeans that were tight back in April and now actually feel looser. If you ever want me do the pico de gallo let me know. I'll be more than happy to do it for you. This boot camp has been a hard but enjoyable experience. I hope and pray to God that I would be able to continue with your workout programs.
THANKS ALOT
Love,
Berta
Since I was born I’ve always been the chunky of the family. For this reason I was always active growing up, exercising in a gym or playing and been part of my school’s basketball team. When I met my husband s 8 years ago, I was in my late thirties and still in shape, but in the years to come I slowly started to gain weight due to several infertility treatments I had to go though. Then I had numerous unsuccessful pregnancies and miscarriages that really sidetracked my health and my life. I had never been so heavy in my life, and I knew I did not want to keep any of this weight.
I was determined to get back into my pre-pregnancies clothes. I didn’t fit into any of my clothes which would generate more depression and of course, more weight gaining, until I noticed how one of my coworkers (Josefina Sanchez) was shedding pounds and pounds and looking amazing every day. When I approached her she informed me about this marvelous boot camp (Tone you Up) she was being part of. It was at that moment that I made a promise to myself that I would become healthier and sing up for the next Tone you Up Boot Camp period. I immediately contacted Sheryl who set me up to attend one of their orientation sessions. She encouraged me so much and gave me new hopes.
It’s been almost a year since I started in this program and thanks to the guidance of the most amazing trainers I have gone from a size 22 to a size 8!!!
I have followed the program strictly and I’ve been limiting my calories per day
I started wanting to lose only ten pounds, but I have continued this new way of life with Tone you Up’s guidance and have made a total life change. I feel like I can do anything, and I continue to reevaluate my goals every time I meet one. I never thought I could wear short shorts again, but since I lost a lot of inches from my hips and abs my legs are looking toned again for the first time in 20 years.
To everyone on this journey of losing weight, or those thinking about starting this journey, my advice is simple: DON’T WAIT ANY LONGER AND CALL TONE YOU UP!!! Weight loss is hard. It takes time, it takes effort, it takes getting educated and with Tone you up you have it all. It is you who will choose to change your life! You CAN do this, and you will find great support on Tone you Up Trainers to help you along the way!

Since I was a little girl I’ve always been the heavier one of my siblings. I never played any sports in school and by the age of 11 I was already wearing a size 10 in women clothes. My parents have always been heavy and only taught us to eat the CUBAN way, which is not healthy at all. By senior year I was wearing a size 14. I had twins back in 2003 and just kept putting on more and more weight and in 11 years of marriage I got up to a size 22 and weighing over 243lbs at the age of 28. I kept lying to myself and telling myself that I was the happiest FAT girl there was, but I was not. In 2010 I made a promise to myself that I would get HEATHY, not skinny, but HEALTHY. I could not go up the stairs from my house without being out of breath. I knew I was setting a bad example for my kids so I had to make a choice to turn my life around and take responsibilities for my actions that got me to my heaviest point. I started working with a nutritionist and joined TONE YOU UP bikini boot camp in June 2010. I won’t lie, every day I would ask myself; do I really want to be in so much pain? But the results were amazing. I was shedding pounds by day and losing inches weekly and that kept me motivated. Then it was the strength my trainers pulled out of me that I thought I did not have. I went from not being able to jog from one corner to the other to running over a mile without stopping. My trainers mean the world to me. There has never been a moment when I have felt down that they have not had the right words of encouragement. At anytime, Cheryl has called me back, emailed me, texted me, just to follow up and see how things were going after I had been going thru a rough patch. Last year in October I walked 60 miles for the fight against breast cancer, it was the strength, endurance, and motivation I got at Tone You Up that helped me accomplish my goal.
It’s been a year and half since I started in this program and thanks to the guidance of the most amazing trainers I have gone from a size 22 to a size 12, lost over 70lbs and reduced by body fat from 54% to 30.1%, but most importantly it has given me my life back. I have shown my kids the right way of eating and that exercise is important in your daily routine.
Thru my weight loss journey I have set new goals and re-evaluated others ones, how I look is important to me, but how I FEEL is the true priority I have. My healthiest might not be 130lbs or a size 5, but its knowing I have the strength to out run a skinny fat girl because I am FIT! This December I will be completing my first ½ marathon, who would have thought that the girl that could not jog to the corner a year and a half ago would be running 13.1 miles J That is what TONE YOU UP and their trainers do, bring out the best of you when you think there is nothing else you can give.
To everyone that doesn’t think they can do it, YES YOU CAN. Just trust the trainers and with their help and guidance you will see results, TRUST me. Remember you did not put the weight on overnight, so you can’t expect it to come off over night either J
I leave you with these words of wisdom: “Life is all about the highs and lows….. and sometimes the journey of getting through the really tough lows, makes the celebration of the highs so much sweeter.”
